Why extraction comes before drying
Water in a room behaves like a sponge filling from the bottom. The longer it sits, the further it wicks into baseboards, drywall and subfloor, and the longer the drying phase runs. Pulling the free water first cuts days off the dry-out and keeps more material savable.
- Truck-mounted extraction for large volumes and deep carpet
- Portable units for upper-floor apartments and tight co-op stairwells
- Weighted extraction tools that press water out of pad
- Submersible pumps when a cellar holds inches of water
Once the floor is clear, the loss moves into structural drying, where air movers and LGR dehumidifiers finish the job.
