When a ceiling is dangerous
- A bulge or sag means water is pooling above the surface
- Water from a light fixture means it has reached wiring; turn that circuit off
- Cracking plaster can drop in large sections
- A wet ceiling below a bathroom can hide a slow leak that has run for weeks
The mitigation team drains a sagging ceiling in a controlled way, into buckets and away from furniture, then opens the wet area so the joists and insulation above can dry.
